While generating electricity from the wind may be the wave of the future, harnessing the energy of the wind for practical uses is a concept that is well over a century old and one that played a role in the settling of our state.

Rolf Harris ::: Ive Been Everywhere (with Rolfys lyrics)
February 28, 2009, 1:22 am
Filed under: Uncategorized

Rolf Harris, Ive been Everywhere was suggested as a Youtube vid by someone commenting on one of Rolfs virals that I had made I listened to it and thought the only way to do it justice was to put an image of every Aussie town that Rolf mentioned. I tried this and it took ages as you can imagine what with sourcing the pics then scaling them and adding the text.
The speed Rolf sings these is so fast that most of the images had to show for less than half a second unfortunately WMM cant seem to show a succession of half-second pictures, so a helluva lot of images got lost in the final saving and the pic of the mountain always came in too late. Believe me it is soooo frustrating, but I hope you enjoy what Windows Movie Maker made of it I will have to look out for a better program

LYRICS

Well, I was humpin’ my bluey on the dusty Oodnadatta road,
When along came a semi with a high and canvas-covered load.
(Spoken) “If you’re goin’ to Oodnadatta, mate, um, with me you can ride.”
So I climbed in the cabin and I settled down inside.
He asked me if I’d seen a road with so much dust and sand, I said
“Listen, mate, I’ve travelled ev’ry road in this here land.”

Chorus:
Cos I’ve been everywhere, man,
I’ve been everywhere, man.
‘Cross the deserts bare, man;
I’ve breathed the mountain air, man.
